How to Play Match Play Skeeball

Tournament Format

Teams will be separated into groups based on City they qualify from (we do our best to place a team from each city into each group). Teams will then play a in a round robin Match Play Best of 7 to determine the top 2 teams from the group.

The top 16 teams will be placed into a single elimination knock-out bracket to determine the champion. The Round of 16 will be played Best of 7 Match Play Skeeball and the Quarterfinals, Semifinals and Championship will be played Best of 9 Match Play Skeeball.

Qualification/Participation

We have two separate ways you can participate in the Skeeball National Championship this year. The qualifier route and the non-qualfier route.

Qualifier Track

Teams wishing to qualify for National Championships must finish in the top 8 of its local City Championship. All Top 8 finishers from cities that have multiple Skeeball Championships are qualified for National Championships, as long as, that city championship took place after Skeeball National Championship 2016.

The teams that qualify for National Championships through NYC Social's City Championship can register using the link and pay the qualifier price of $25 for the tournament.

Non-Qualifer Track

Any team wishing to participate in Skeeball National Championship 2017 is invited to do so. However the price per person if you do not qualify for the tournament through NYC Social's City Championship is $45.

If you register and then do qualify through the Winter Skeeball City Championship we will refund you the difference in registration cost ($20 per person).
